She was SO jealous of her sister yesterday, so I had to be sure to get some photos of her in the costume today. I just love these romantic costumes... The designer suggested that I could make a calendar with all of the photos we're taking of costumes for her. I just may have to do that!

This one's for the canvas...and outtakes

I was offered a free canvas from a vendor, and I wanted to take a portrait of the girls that was "canvas worthy". The first one is the one I ordered, and the others are outtakes from our shoot.

Sweet Newborn

I just love working with newborns, and especially ones with big brothers and sisters who love them so much. This family was so wonderful to work with. Here are a few previews from our shoot this morning.

At the battlefield

We went out to the battlefield today to scope it out as a potential location for outdoor shoots, and to try some tall grass/backlighting photos. I thought the first photo (with the cannon silhouettes) turned out rather nicely. I used Joki's deep color pop action on it, at a low opacity.

We had to try out our newest pettiskirt and see how it photographed today. "What mom, you mean they're not supposed to go on your head?"

Spur of the Moment

I caught these guys just playing around outside. I asked them to take little break to have their photos taken, and they were such great sports. Goes to show you don't have to be in your Sunday best for a nice photo, and that it isn't crazy to carry your camera everywhere ;)

She makes it look easy!

I had the opportunity to take photos for the nicest, calmest pregnant woman and her daughter this morning. She is nearly 8 months pregnant, and makes it look so easy! Here are some sneak peeks from the shoot (click on the image for a larger version)...

Two little redheads

Just look at that great big sister! She did such a wonderful job holding her new little brother so we could get some beautiful family shots. We did manage to get his eyes open a bit later, but I thought this one looked sweet.

I was just testing my lights when I took this one, and she was such a great assistant :)

Three boys and their beautiful mom

I was so lucky to be able to take photos of Pam and her three sons today. They are such cute kids, and baby M was the most cooperative child. And yes, those are really their feet!

Red skies and brown eyes

We've been enjoying our long summer days. We caught that lovely sunset while waiting for fireworks to start last weekend. You'd never guess the girls are in a mall larking lot. Goes to show you can find beauty in the most unusual places!
